Beach walks

Dogs are allowed back on all the beautiful beaches in Ceredigion from the 1st October. To celebrate we are offering free stays for your four legged friends in our luxury safari tents.

Come glamping with us this October. Enjoy crisp walks in the Autumn leaves, long stomps along the beautiful beaches and a friendly welcome in a host of pubs, cafes and shops.

Two of our safari tents, Afon and Aderyn, are dog friendly and dogs are very welcome on site, but as we are a working farm they need to be kept on leads.

Offer valid on stays from the 1st October to the 3rd November.

Other walking

Brechfa and Abergorlech are both small villages with access to the Brechfa forest which is great for dog walking.  Beautiful forest trails with a river running through it.  Brechfa is about 15 mins from the farm.

Cors Carron is a nature reserve and wetland just north of Tregaron, dogs are welcome on leads on two of the walks around the reserve.  Cors Carron is about 25 mins from the farm.

Devils bridge is a lovely place to visit with great waterfalls and a selection of walks.  Dogs are welcome on leads but short legged dogs may struggle with the steps and large dogs may struggle through the turnstile down to the falls.   The Hafod estate has a selection of walks and is a beautiful place. The Hafod estate and Devil’s bridge are about 45-50 mins from the farm.

There are heaps of other walks both along the coastal path and up in the Cambrian mountains.

You are also welcome to walk your dog around the farm provided they are kept on a lead and you clear up after them.

Eating out

In Lampeter and Aberaeron a number of the pubs and cafes are dog friendly.  It is always worth asking even if you don’t see a sign. No.45 in Lampeter (otherwise known as Artisan’s serves a good cup of coffee and is dog friendly).

The Daffodil at Penrhiwllan is a dog friendly pub and has excellent reviews for food and service.  We haven’t managed to get there yet but it is on our list of places to visit!
