A little bit about us and our glamping site in West Wales
Croeso i orllewin Cymru
Mae Pant Yr Hwch, ein tyddyn bach hyfryd, wedi'i leoli dair milltir o dref farchnad a phrifysgol Llanbedr Pont Steffan yng nghefn gwlad tawel, bryniog gorllewin Cymru.
Ni yw Dan ac Ellie, dau oedd yn byw yn y ddinas ar un adeg ond sydd bellach wedi torri'n rhydd i fagu ein plant (a'r holl anifeiliaid) yng nghefn gwlad paradwysaidd Cymru.
Fe wnaethon ni syrthio mewn cariad â Cheredigion a gorllewin Cymru pan ddaethon ni yma ar ein mis mêl amser maith yn ôl, ac fe dreulion ni bron i ddegawd yn chwilio am y lle iawn i sefydlu safle glampio.
Fe agoron ni yn 2017, ac er bod gennym bellach (ychydig) mwy o grychau ar ein hwynebau ac ambell flewyn gwyn yn ychwanegol yn ein gwallt o gymharu â phan ddechreuon ni, rydyn ni'n dal i garu popeth am y fferm, y golygfeydd, yr anifeiliaid, a'r gornel ddigyffwrdd hon o orllewin Cymru ... a gobeithio y gwnewch chi hefyd!
Ein Fferm
The 11 acre smallholding has a small flock of very cheeky sheep, three unruly pigs, a flock of chickens and a Welsh heritage orchard.
In the skies above the farm you will see red kites, buzzards and the occasional sparrow hawk as well as a host of garden and woodland birds such as woodpeckers, coal tits, tree creepers, nut hatches and goldfinches to name a few.
The pond on site is home to a host of amphibia and is the perfect spot for a bit of pond dipping (a pond dipping kit can be borrowed from the honesty shop), or to watch the sunset.
We think it is a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by, and kids love exploring and generally running wild on the farm.
All guests are very welcome to get involved in the day to day running of the farm. Come feed the animals, collect eggs and harvest fruit and vegetables with us.
Our Suppliers
We source as much as we can locally. In doing so we have discovered some amazing craftspeople. Our woodburning Chilli Penguin stoves are made on the Llyn peninsula by Karen and Steve, our handcrafted tables are made by a carpenter called Huw just a few miles away in Ceredigion.
Peirs is the carpenter that built our oak kitchen cabinets, the natural Welsh slate tops come from Harri and Mike Wilson about 5 miles away. Finally the cosy duvets that keep you warm at night come from Baavet, a small Welsh company specialising in making woollen duvets. Our tents are made by Bond in Stroud (we couldn't find anyone in Wales that made them and Michelle and Mike are brilliant) and they have been erected by local tradespeople.
If you would like more information on any of our suppliers please don't hesitate to ask.
The honesty shop
On site we have a small farm shop stocking basic essential items like ketchup and pasta and all important marshmallows.
We are lucky to know some wonderful craftspeople so have some lovely handcrafted gifts in stock.
You can also borrow bug hunting and pond dipping kits and books from here.
